Rentals

LCLT offers six rentals to community members on Lopez Island. At this time, all are currently rented and we rarely have an opening. LCLT’s rentals include:

Common Field Apartments

In 2008, the LCLT office and 2 adjacent studio apartments were built. Designed by Mithun, they are constructed similarly to the Common Ground cooperative. The rentals feature straw bale construction, grid-tied solar, and are net-zero capable. To build, they cost $100,000 per unit.

Pear Tree Apartments

In 2019, the Pear Tree Apartments were donated to LCLT. We did extensive upgrades when we renovated the apartments, gutting the interior, and installing new kitchens, bathrooms and flooring. The renovation took 6 months and cost $100,000 per unit.

Westpark 

LCLT was donated land for a single family residence on Westpark Lane. The home was designed in collaboration with Mithun and Vandervort Architects. Construction was completed in 2020, took 9 months and cost $344,000.
